Teri Hatcher - A must do List

Teri Hatcher of 'Desperate Housewife's is making and checking off items on her own, must do list. You know the one we all make, but never get to it.

"I want to learn to play a couple of songs on the guitar. I want to learn a few of those fancy dances from one of those 'Dancing With the Stars' teachers. And I want to run a triathlon," the actress told PEOPLE, and getting the jump on her list, Hatcher is training to participate in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sept. 13.

Disney, the parent company behind 'Desperate Housewives,' asked Hatcher to lead a team in this year's triathlon. In addition to fulfilling a personal goal, the 44-year-old star is also raising money to benefit the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Hatcher says running is the most difficult part of training for the race. "It's the least fun for me," she says of the four-mile run that caps off the event. "By that point, I'm really tired, so the whole time I'm thinking, 'I'm not going to make it.'"

"I'm just out to do it and I did it," she says, explaining that winning is not her top priority. "I did surprise myself that I'm in better shape than I thought I was."

We wish you luck and hope you raise lots of dough, if you want to donate to her charity go to http://www.teamhatcher.org/.

"Fringe" - Season 2

Another set of promo is released ahead of "Fringe" season 2 premiere. The TV spot, that still uses Fefe Dobson's "Paranoia", begins with Joshua Jackson's Peter toasting Anna Torv's Olivia "To all things weird". There are then glimpses of interaction between Leonard Nimoy's William Bell and Olivia.

In the stunning first season finale, Olivia traveled to an intriguing parallel universe to meet with Massive Dynamic founder William Bell. Season 2 opens with her shocking return to this perplexing alternate reality, while Peter, unknowingly in a race against time with an ominous mobile force, pursues information about Olivia's visit. Walter reenters the lab to cook up a bit of fringe science, and of course, some custard for Peter's birthday.

Guest starring beginning the first season's finale, Nimoy will be seen portraying William a whole lot more in the new season. He had shot an episode which will air in October and is scheduled to film one more episode. Creator J.J. Abrams will see how the character appeal to the audience before deciding on more episodes.

"Fringe" comes back with its new phenomenons on September 17.

Can't wait for the season premiere. If you haven't caught an epsiode, your missing a great show!!

Uma Thurman Shelling out the Dough.

Apparently Uma Thurman is renting out the Kensington Place, former home of Princess Diana, for her upcoming wedding to her millionaire financier fiance Arpad Busson. The nuptials is suppose to take place in June of 2010.

"Uma wants to get married like a princess," says one of her friends. "She already has an eight-carat diamond ring and now she is planning to get married in a palace." The friend continues revealing, "They want to have it entirely to themselves, so as well as the 11,000 pounds ceremony and venue hire fee, they have hired the rest of the palace to ensure it's completely private."

While there has been no word yet on possible wedding date, Daily Mail mentions such names as Sir Elton John, Sting, Claudia Schiffer and Elizabeth Hurley, all of whom are Uma and Arpad's A-list friends who are expected to be invited to their wedding.

Uma Thurman began dating Arpad Busson, who is a wealthy self-made Swiss/French financier, in 2007. In late June the following year, her representative confirmed that the pair has got engaged. He reportedly presented her with an 8-plus carat center stone surrounded by 20 smaller stones.
Should Daily Mail's report is proven true, the wedding will be Uma's third. She was first married to actor Gary Oldman. Her second husband was movie star Ethan Hawke, with whom she has two children; daughter Maya Ray and son Levon Roan.
Wow, you know they are shelling out some huge cash for this place just for a wedding. I wonder if they would let me piggyback the wedding so I can feel like a prince and get married as well.

Boy's Like Girls - "Love Drunk"

Boys Like Girls are getting ready to release the follow-up to their gold-certified debut album "Boys Like Girls". They will debut  "Love Drunk" in the U.S. on September 8, the same day they will perform in "Jimmy Kimmel Live!".

After paying Jimmy Kimmel a visit, the band will help the New England Patriots kick off their 2009 season with a free concert on September 13, outside Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

The following night, frontman Martin Johnson will open the 40th season of Monday Night Football by singing the National Anthem live before his hometown Patriots faces off the Buffalo Bills.

"Love Drunk" is led by its title track which peaked at number 22 on Billboard Hot 200 and has sold more than 400,000 copies since making its way out in June. Its music video was premiered in July and features Ashley Tisdale as a cameo.

What differs the new album from the previous one is that it features their collaboration with singer from different genre, Taylor Swift, something they never did before. "We just thought she was the right voice and the right person for that song," Martin told MTV about the duet.

"I don't think we were worried about how our fans would react to that collaboration. I think Taylor's such a versatile artist, she can go from country to pop to rock to anywhere. We just saw her at Madison Square Garden, and there were so many kinds of fans there."

A bunch of tour dates have been announced to promote the new record and Cobra Starship have been billed as their supporting act. Beside touring and performing on TV, Boys Like Girls will also treat fans with in-store performance and autograph signings. Fans can log on to their official website to get more info about their schedule.

Five for Fighting's 'Chances' Music Video Debuted

In a bid to promote Five for Fighting's new single "Chances", an accompanying music video has been brought out for public viewing pleasure. It captures John Ondrasik staring at a luminescent globe miniature. When the globe is zoomed in, a love story between a young boy and a girl he met in the wood is shown.

"Chances" is one of the singles planned to be listed in Five for Fighting's forthcoming studio album "Slice". The track reportedly will serve as the first single from the soon-to-be-released effort and has been sent to digital retails since July.

"Slice" is expected to come out across United States on October 20. Its tracklisting hasn't been uncovered, but John himself revealed that he has been working on three other fresh materials, "A Note to the Unknown Soldier", "Tuesday" and "This Dance", for the album. Also, he recently outed a new song called "Augie Nieto".

Beginning on the day of the album's arrival, Five for Fighting will be touring in North America. He will perform through November 11 in Los Angeles. Fans can visit his MySpace to obtain more info about his upcoming shows and listen to his new songs.

Katy Perry Reportedly Engaged??

Okay, is this for real this time or not? I sent Katy a Tweet today to see if she would confirm or deny the rumor, guess we will have to wait to see if she confirms or deny's.

Katy Perry has ignited Internet reports that she is engaged to boyfriend Travis McCoy after she was spotted sporting a ring on her engagement finger during an outing in Los Angeles last week, neither of them has confirmed or denied the claim.

Having been dating on and off since they first met through her music producer back in 2005, Katy Perry and Travis McCoy briefly split in December last year before then reconciling in April. Last year, they were forced to deny report that they were engaged.

"NOT engaged!" she wrote on her blog when denying The New York Daily News' Gatecrasher claim that Travis proposed to her during a romantic break to the French capital, Paris. "But thanks for the free press, New York Daily News!" she continued, adding that "You should fact check with the source before you spread world wide news like that."

Kourtney Kardashian and her baby's daddy on Miami Beach

Kourtney Kardashian and her baby's daddy Scott Disicks spent some tme enjoying the sun and surf in front of the Fountainbleau Resort in Miami Beach. Kourtney tried to cover up her baby bump as they strolled the beach.

Kourtney's reality series with her sister, Kourtney & Kloe Take Miami has wrapped up its first season but has been such a hit for producer Ryan Seacrest and the E! network, it will almost certainly be back on a second. How to work in, or around, the new baby, has yet to be decided.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master..."

Labor Day at the Theatre

During Hollywood's weakest long weekend of the year, Bullock managed a respectable, $14 million Friday-Monday debut for the critically trashed All About Steve, while Pitt's Inglourious Basterds marched toward $100 million with a $15 million four-day take.

The Final Destination, last weekend's 3-D-boosted champ, was this weekend's champ, too, with $15.4 million, Exhibitor Relations reported.

• All About Steve will finish third, not second as projected Sunday, per Exhibitor Relations. The romantic comedy flip-flopped with Inglourious Basterds, which moved up a spot.

• Third place or second place, All About Steve didn't bomb, despite a Tomatometer reading on Rotten Tomatoes of 5 percent. Yes, 5 percent. Just so you know, if you turn on a camera and film a wall and/or make The Dukes of Hazzard, you can rate a Tomatometer reading higher than 5 percent.

• Arguably even stranger but true, All About Steve made more money at each of its theaters than any movie in the Top 10.

• Maybe goodwill did it? All About Steve not only starred Bullock, hot off The Proposal, but Bradley Cooper, hot off The Hangover.

• To be sure, All About Steve isn't exactly a career highlight for Bullock. It's her lowest-grossing debut for a wide-release movie since 2002's Murder By Numbers.

• Only one Quentin Tarantino movie has ever blown past $100 million. At $95.2 million after three weekends, Inglourious Basterds looks to soon join Pulp Fiction.

• From Friday-Sunday, Gerard Butler's Gamer scored $9 million, Box Office Mojo said, which, given an average ticket price of $7.18, works out to about 1.2 million tickets sold. In 1982, Tron scored a $4.7 million Friday-Sunday debut, which, given a then-average ticket price of $2.94, works out to about 1.6 million ticket sold. Game over.

• Even if you add in Monday's grosses, which are expected to bring Gamer up to $11.2 million, Tron still outsold its video-game descendant.

• Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will make $1 million through today, Paramount Pictures estimated, and will join Hollywood's exclusive $400 million or more club. Once Revenge of the Fallen's membership is confirmed, there will be only nine members.

• District 9, the little sci-fi movie that could, broke $100 million, with a $9 million Friday-Monday.

• Of the weekend's new movies, Mike Judge's Extract was, as Exhibitor Relations' Jeff Bock put it, "the best-reviewed film that did the worst." It's expected to gross $5.5 million Friday-Monday.

• On the upside of being down, Extract is now projected to finish ninth, not 10th.

• The long and the short of it: G-Force fell out of the Top 10 after six weekends and a $114.6 million run, through Sunday; Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock fell out of the Top 10 after one weekend, and a $6 million run, also through Sunday.

• The summer box office estimates held. This now-concluded beach season will go down as the highest-grossing—and one of the weirdest. While revenue was up (thanks, 3D!), attendance was down. While August was surprisingly hot, thanks to G.I. Joe and District 9, Bock said, June and July were surprisingly cool.

• Perhaps nothing symbolized the summer's split personality more than Terminator Salvation. The movie grossed $371 million worldwide; its producers filed for bankruptcy.

Here's a look at the holiday weekend's top-grossing films based on Friday-Monday estimates as compiled by Exhitor Relations:

  • The Final Destination, $15.4 million
  • Inglourious Basterds, $15 million
  • All About Steve, $14 million
  • Gamer, $11.2 million
  • District 9, $8 million
  • Halloween 2, $7.01 million
  • Julie & Julia, $7 million
  • G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, $6.7 million
  • Extract, $5.5 million
  • The Time Traveler's Wife, $5.46 million

'The Beatles: Rock Band' - Coming Wednesday

"The Beatles: Rock Band" game and the British group's original recorded catalog, digitally re-mastered, go on sale this week, industry officials say.

Apple Corps Ltd., MTV Games, Harmonix and EMI Music said the game and catalog will be available worldwide Wednesday.

"'The Beatles: Rock Band' allows fans to pick up the guitar, bass, mic or drums and experience The Beatles' extraordinary catalog of music through game play," the companies said in a news release. "From the early touring days in 1963 Liverpool to the immortal, final performance on Apple's rooftop, fans can follow in The Fab Four's footsteps as they traverse the globe during the height of Beatlemania, unlocking real photos and videos of The Beatles -- some never before seen by the public."
The Beatles' entire original recorded catalog has been digitally re-mastered for the first time by a team of engineers at EMI's Abbey Road Studios during a four-year period. The songs will be sold individually and in a variety of digital and CD collection packages.

Marley Shelton Welcomes First Child

Marley Shelton ('Eleventh Hour') and her husband, producer Beau Flynn, have a new daughter. Shelton gave birth on Sunday in Los Angeles. Shelton and Flynn have named the baby West.

The first-time dad said in a statement, "She's an absolutely miraculous, gorgeous bundle of pure love." West, who weighed in at 9 lbs. and 21 inches long, is also the first child for Shelton, 35.

Shelton currently appears in the film 'A Perfect Getaway.' Flynn's producing credits include 'Requiem for a Dream' and 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose'. The couple wed in 2001.

Ludacris Shows his Kindness!

Ludacris has earned a great deal of respect from me. Ludacris mimicked one of Oprah Winfrey's signature moves and gave away 20 cars in the Atlanta area on Sunday.

Teaming with his Ludacris Foundation and Nissan South, the actor and rapper (whose given name is Christopher Bridges) showed a little southern hospitality by awarding the used cars to Atlanta residents in need.

"This year we want to do something to help youth and families manage during these tough economic times," Roberta Shields, president of the Ludacris Foundation, said in a statement. "Having a vehicle to get back and forth to work and daycare can make the difference in getting and keeping a job".

Contestants submitted essays detailing their need for a car in order to be considered for the "Ludacares Stimulus Package." The lucky winners not only drove off with a used vehicle, but free gas for 30 days.

You gotta wonder if he shouted "You get a car…and you get a car… and you get a car!" just for the heck of it.

Thank you for your generousity for those in need.

Jackson sequined glove - Sells for $49K

One of Michael Jackson's iconic sequined gloves has recently sold at an auction for $49K.

Jackson was entombed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park's Great Mausoleum in Glendale, Calif., last Thursday night -- 70 days after his death at the age of 50.

Warwick Stone reportedly purchased Jackson's glove at a Bonhams and Goodman auction in Melbourne during the weekend on behalf of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

TMZ said Jackson donned the the famous fashion accessory when he wed Debbie Rowe, the mother of his two oldest children -- Prince Michael II, 12 and Paris, 11 -- in 1996. The couple divorced in 1999.

Oprah prepares for Huge block party.

Oprah is at it again, getting set up for her block party season premier with Chicago's Michigan Avenue between Wacker Drive and Ohio Street closed

The event, which is free and open to the public, is set to take place Tuesday afternoon in honor of the Season 24 premiere of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Scheduled to air on television Sept. 10, the episode is to feature appearances by the Black Eyed Peas, Criss Angel and Jennifer Hudson.

The Chicago Tribune said the streets will be re-opened to vehicular traffic at 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Now you can't tell me that this is cheap to do. Oprah is putting out huge bucks to keep these streets closed for this length of time.

Until then, people will be allowed on the area's sidewalks and given access into its buildings, except possibly during the actual two-hour taping of the show, the newspaper said.

The entrance for the standing-room-only event is being set up at the intersection of Michigan and Ohio, and will open at noon Tuesday.

People will not be allowed to camp out there ahead of time and weapons, pets, coolers, professional recording devices and large beach umbrellas have reportedly been banned.

I can't be there, so I hope to see some tweetpics to @danelson239 or some sent to my email at buscando239@aol.com

Father of 'Slumdog' child actor dies

MUMBAI -The father of Indian child actor Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, best known for his role in "Slumdog Millionaire," has died.

An unidentified sources said Sunday that Mohammed Ismail died in Mumbai following a prolonged battle with tuberculosis, the Press Trust of India reported.

The elder Ismail, whose age was not reported, died Friday of unspecified causes in the Mumbai home the "Jai Ho" trust purchased for his family after "Slumdog" highlighted the plight of poor Mumbai residents.

"Slumdog" director Danny Boyle helped set up the charitable trust, named after his film's Academy Award-winning soundtrack song.

The elder Ismail was the focus of a media storm this year amid reports he allegedly slapped his 10-year-old actor son for refusing to take part in media interviews, the Press Trust of India reported.

In "Slumdog," Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail played the young version of Salim Malik, the lead character's brother.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.... xoxo

Cox enjoy's being a Cougar!

As if anyone should be suprised by this, but Courteney Cox says she truly enjoys playing her character on the new ABC series "Cougar Town."

The Los Angeles Times said Sunday that "Cougar" features Cox, 45, as a divorced mother attempting to find love in Florida, a far cry from her role as a cynical tabloid editor in the defunct FX series "Dirt."

"I hope this show is a huge hit and that people love it. Because I like playing this character more than any character I've ever played," Cox said of her character Jules in "Cougar," which is set to premiere on ABC on Sept. 23.

Bill Lawrence, who created "Cougar" with Kevin Biegel, said he designed the "Cougar" character around Cox's real-life personality.

"I wanted her to be like Courteney. If you talk to Courteney when she's off-guard, or when she's being herself, she's incredibly frank, she's incredibly brassy," he told the Times. "Very opinionated, very self-deprecating. But at heart she's still a goofball."

I will check out the premiere, but not so sure this show is going to be a hit. Saw a few clips and the only thing good about it is the eye candy...

How'd you like to find a 10-ft Python in your Toilet?

Okay, this story makes me rethink those late night trips to the toliet when you don't want to turn on the light cause you are half a sleep.

A sanke wrangler near Darwin Australia had to pull a 10-foot python from the plumbing of  a toilet. The python was apparently harmless, yeah okay, and had sharp teeth and an attitude. Is there any other kind of Python?

"So if you felt something bite you on the bottom while you were on the toilet it would give you a hell of a fright," said Craig Peberdy, a reptile expert who caught the snake and relocated it in the wild.

Peberdy was called to the home of Erik Rantzau after the python developed a routine of slithering in from the garden and curling up in the toilet bowl, The Sunday Times of London reported.

"I've seen it on and off around the property for the last 10 years, but never in the dunny," said Rantzau, who lives in a rain forest.

Rantzau said he didn't mind if the snake he named Axl occasionally glided through the room while he was watching TV, but taking up residence in the toilet was another story.

Is this guy crazy, he was okay with this snake being in his house. OMG! I would have blacked out the first time is occasionally glided across any room in my house.

"You think you might find a spider or a green tree frog in your dunny, but not a snake," Rantzau said.

44th Annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon

The 44th annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon started tonight from Las Vegas at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. The Telethon will run for 21 1/2 hours.

Singer Wynonna Judd started off the Telethon.
Also among the telethon's performers will be singers Bo Bice, Tony Orlando and Joshua Bell, along with the Las Vegas Mass Choir and the Ten Tenors.

Comedian George Wallace and ventriloquist Ronn Lucas are also slated for telethon appearances.

Lewis said this year's telethon will be particularly emotional because of the June death of anchor Ed McMahon, who previously helped Lewis run the live broadcast that began in 1966.

"It's hard to imagine doing the show without him," Lewis said in a statement

"Ed was a dear, dear friend. We were always making jokes, cracking each other up. He cared deeply about people with muscle diseases. On the telethon, he was my right-hand man."
An emotional Jerry Lewis introduced a tribute to Ed McMahon put together by his staff.
Please take the time to donate what you can to help such a wonderful cause... Call 1-800-FIGHT-MD. Make a donation in honor of Ed McMahon.
Let's pray that Jerry can make it through the entire telethon without issues! We love you Jerry for all that you do for Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Tila Tequila Allegedly Choked By Shawne Merriman, NFL Star

Early this morning, reality star Tila Tequila called the Police and claimed that her NFL superstar boyfriend Shawne Merriman choked her. Police took Merriman into custody and is accused of battery and false imprisonment. What is wrong with people in the spotlight? Too much pressure that you have to beat on a WOMAN, Geeesssshhhh!

According to the reports, Tequila and Merriman were out at a club that night and after leaving, went back to his apartment. Merriman reportedly got upset when Tequila tried to leave, which is when she claims he "choked and physically restrained" her.

Merriman was taken into custody at 3:45 a.m. local time and charged with battery and false imprisonment. Tequila was taken to a local hospital for treatment for loss of breath and cuts to the face.

Merriman's lawyer told TMZ that his client is innocent, and that he was trying to keep an extremely inebriated" Tila from unsafely leaving the apartment.

Yeah, and Chris Brown was trying to keep Rihanna from doing what? A better performance then him at the Grammys?

Guess who get's this Holiday Weekend's Douchebag Award. Yup, you guessed it, Shawne Merriman has earned my Douchebag award! Congrats!

"The Final Destination" Still on TOP

Fear has trumped romance at the box office over Labor Day weekend. The Warner Bros. fright flick "The Final Destination" remained the No. 1 movie for the second-straight weekend with $12.4 million for the first three days of the long holiday weekend. "The Final Destination" raised its 10-day total to $47.6 million.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather see some blood and gutz versus love and sappy crap.

It came in ahead of Sandra Bullock's romantic comedy "All About Steve," a 20th Century Fox release which debuted in second-place with $11.2 million from Friday to Sunday. Bullock plays a woman who sets out on the road in pursuit of her soul mate.

Among other new movies, Lionsgate's action tale "Gamer" debuted at No. 4 with $9 million. The movie stars Gerard Butler in a thriller about real humans controlled by players in lethal games.

Opening at No. 10 with $4.2 million was Miramax's comedy "Extract," starring Jason Bateman as a businessman whose personal life heats up just as he's trying to sell his flavor-extract company to General Mills.

Studios will release estimates for the four-day weekend on Monday and you can count on me to give you the final tally for the four day weekend on who was on top and who was not so hot.
