Jay-Z has announced plans for a North American concert tour this fall
Jay-Z has announced plans for a concert tour this fall in North America. The multiple Grammy Award winner is to perform 21 dates at a mix of college campus arenas and traditional venues, starting at Penn State University Oct. 9 in State College, Pennsylvania. My home town.
Tickets go on sale in select markets beginning Friday at http://www.livenation.com/.
The fall tour is the follow-up to the "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City" tour, which was seen by more than 600,000 fans. The 28-date trek grossed more than $35 million.
Prior to the upcoming tour kickoff, Jay-Z will headline a charity concert at New York's Madison Square Garden Friday in support of the New York Police & Fire Widows and Children's Benefit Fund. All proceeds from tickets sales and concert merchandise are to go directly to the charity, Live Nation said.
