Countries fight over pageant costume

They are seriously fighting over this costume.. I certainly hope Perez Hilton or Paris Hilton don't catch wind of this, they will be looking to do a make over...As if either country has no issues with Poverty, Equal Rights, Homelessness, or health care, they have to choose a battle over a DEVIL Costume... who's running these countries? Pee Wee Herman?LIMA,

South American neighbors Bolivia and Peru are engaged in a battle over a devil dance costume for Sunday's Miss Universe beauty pageant, officials confirm.
Both nations say the costume for the Andean ritual known as the Devil's Dance or La Diablada belongs to their country and only their contestant has the right to wear it in the pageant, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

Culture Minister Pablo Groux of Bolivia says La Diablada originated in Bolivia and allowing Miss Peru to wear the costume at the pageant threatens his country's national brand.

"Culture doesn't have borders," says Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde, Peru's foreign minister.

Anthropologist David Guss of Boston's Tufts University says the Bolivian city of Oruro "might have the most compelling claim" as the birthplace of La Diablada.
But Guss adds that there was lots of cultural cross-pollination as the dance ritual evolved, and it moved into parts of both Chile and Peru.

Rapper Niarn shot in Copenhagen

Wondering if this photo has anything to do with this shooting? Hmmm. What is the deal with Rappers & Guns? They seem to go hand and hand. Chill out dudes... write a rap, take a chill pill, put down those weapons and pick up them hoe's...
Aalborg rapper Niarn was grazed in the face by a bullet during a shooting in Norrebro, Copenhagen, police said.

A police officer and another person were also injured in Thursday night's incident, The Copenhagen Post reported.
Witnesses told the newspaper the officer was issuing a ticket to a group of young men for a minor drug-related offense when shots were fired near Jaegersborgsgade Street.
The Post said the incident was believed to be related to gang violence in the city, although police had not confirmed this.

The unidentified suspects involved in the shooting reportedly fled the scene and had not been apprehended, the newspaper said.

Locklear may head back to 'Melrose'

So 90210 is successful, so they decide Melrose Place can make a come back. Are we that outta talent in Hollywood that we have to go backwards instead of forward?

Heather Locklear is in negotiations to reprise her role of Amanda Woodward in the upcoming "Melrose Place" spinoff, sources told E! News.
Locklear played the advertising executive and apartment complex landlady on the original series from 1992 to 1999. Her other TV credits include "Dynasty," "T.J. Hooker" and "Spin City."
E! News said the CW network hasn't commented on the report that she may play Amanda Woodward again.
The new series, which will feature appearances from original "Melrose Place" veterans such as Thomas Calabro, Laura Leighton, Daphne Zuniga and Josie Bissett, is to premiere Sept. 8.

Reward offered for capture of Ryan Jenkins

A $25,000 reward was posted Friday for the capture of Ryan Jenkins, a television reality show contestant wanted for his wife's alleged murder in California.

Jenkins disappeared from the Los Angeles area a week ago after the body of his wife, swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore, was found stuffed in a suitcase that had been left in a trash bin in Buena Park.

The reward was announced in a written statement by the U.S. Marshals Service and stated investigators believed Jenkins had left the state.

Orange County investigators said Thursday they believed Jenkins was in his native Canada.
Officials also said Thursday that Fiore's teeth and fingers were missing from her body, People.com reported.

Jenkins was a contestant on the VH1 reality series "Megan Wants a Millionaire."
