Ted Kennedy's Funeral

Today the world said good-bye to a legendary icon in politics. In attendance today at the service were President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and a host of major public figures such as Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jack Nicholson attended Sen. Ted Kennedy's funeral in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica in Boston on Saturday morning.
President Obama said in his eulogy :"Ted Kennedy's life's work was not to champion those with wealth or power or special connections,"
"It was to give a voice to those who were not heard; to add a rung to the ladder of opportunity; to make real the dream of our founding.
"He was given the gift of time that his brothers were not, and he used that gift to touch as many lives and right as many wrongs as the years would allow," the president added.
Other prominent attendees to the funeral mass included Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, family members such as Kennedy's widow Victoria, his son Ted Kennedy Jr. and nieces Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy, and celebrities such as Nicholson and Tony Bennett.
Musicians Yo-Yo Ma and Placido Domingo performed during Communion.
Ted Kennedy's body will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA., next to his brothers, President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Arlington National Cemetery is the last resting place for heroes and notables of United States history.
