Cate Blanchett injured during play

Cate Blanchett, who is in Sydney doing a stage production of "A Streetcar named Desire" was accidentally injured by her co-star by a radio during a fight scene.

Blanchett, 40, was knocked down and bleeding from the head during Tuesday night's preview performance at the Sydney Theatre.

Blanchett, who plays Blanche DuBois in the show, reportedly tried to continue, but stopped when she realized she was bleeding.

The theater's lights were then turned on and the audience told the rest of the performance had been canceled.

"Cate's just fine," a spokesman for the theater told People.com, adding Wednesday night's performance was expected to go on as planned.
